The Deep Ellum Dog Park is open Tuesday thru Sunday, 5am to Midnight.
The Deep Ellum Dog Park is loaded with amenities and special equipment to make sure you and your best friend have a great time.
Just look at this list!
The Deep Ellum Dog Park was designed for the urban dog and its owner.
We put in all the great amenities we found in other parks, and a few that they did not have (how can you replicate that great view of Downtown Dallas?).
Here's a short list of the park's features. If you have a suggestion for a dog- or owner-specific amenity, click here to send us your ideas.
The Deep Ellum Dog Park is surrounded by a six-foot tall metal post fence. The entrance is a double-door barrier that prevents any pooch from scooting out while you walk in.
There are two water fountains in the park - one is doggy-height and one is people-height.
There is also a doggy shower so you can cool your dog down after a strenuous play, or give him a quick bath to wash off the drool.
The benches are comfortable yet familiar looking to any dog.
The Dallas Gay and Lesbian fund donated this centerpiece to the Park when it was opened.
Scooper bags and trash cans are located all around the park not far from the fence line.
The Deep Ellum Dog Park was built out of empty spaces under the highways. The park covers 1.2 acres, of which 80% is grass-covered. There are shaded areas under the highways. There are no hot street surfaces to bother your dog's feet.
Many restaurants and coffee shops in Deep Ellum are pet-friendly. After playing in the park, just walk on over and have a bite.
Don't worry about parking either - there are 100+ parking spaces right across the street from the park under another highway overpass.
